Pizza, (re)starting from the Neapolitan wave

That between Latteria Sorrentina and the true Neapolitan pizza is an ancient love whose roots go back to 1880, when the Amodio family decided to carry on the ancient Campania dairy tradition and to create the perfect Fiordilatte for the most famous dish in the world.

Our company has been walking side by side with the pizzerias and our pizza maker friends since then, always looking in the same and one direction: that of excellence. Over the years there have been many satisfactions that got us far away, reaching places and corners of the world that we would never have dreamed of conquering.

Surely, difficulties have not been and are not missing, such as those encountered along the way this past year. But despite the obstacles, Latteria Sorrentina has never stopped working side by side the pizza world, through initiatives such as #WESUPPORTPIZZA. And now that we are finally returning to a first taste of normality, we start again together, getting back into the swing and looking towards new goals.

The coming of summer overwhelms us with new enthusiasms and we are proud in partnership initiatives such as ONDA NAPOLETANA, the Neapolitan Wave. Sponsored by the Academy of Fine Arts and by Cuore di Napoli, this event supports and involves restaurateurs and chefs in the city. The latter will be precisely those who on the evening of June 24 will show up at the homes of randomly selected people to surprise them. A wave of happiness and amazement that is getting ready to knock on the doors of the Neapolitans. What if something extraordinary happens?

The awe mixed with wonder will be skillfully documented in video and shared on social media.

A wave ready to break down all the distances forced upon us in these long months and overwhelm us with a new atmosphere of freedom. So my Dear Pizza, let’s start again from here because, after all, freedom tastes like the first bite of a good, freshly baked pizza.
